Join Northumberland Mall and the Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario (STSCO) on August 26th and 27th for the First Rider Program, a fun and educational two day event for kids who will be first time riders on the school bus.
The Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario will be conducting the annual First Rider program at Northumberland Mall in West Court. Parents, grandparents and children are invited to drop by on either Friday, August 26th between 3:00pm and 6:00pm or Saturday, August 27th between 10:00am and 1:00pm for this event. Each session is just thirty minutes long and starts on the hour and half past the hour.
The First Rider Program consists of a short instructional video, followed by a ten minute ride on the school bus. While on the bus, children will learn how to get on and off the school bus safely, as well as many other helpful tips from the program coordinators.
“Northumberland Mall is excited to once again host the Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario’s First Rider Program. This is an annual event at the mall that we feel is very important to young children and their parents alike,” says Northumberland Mall’s Marketing Manager Alexis Smith. “The First Rider Program allows children to take a practice run before the main event, helping to ensure their safety and the safety of the other passengers.” she adds.
